SO, YOU’RE READY TO BREW

STEP #1

Remove your Aji Filter from the packaging and boil on high heat for 10 minutes.
This step is vital and only needs to be done once.
By boiling your Aji Filter you shrink it down to the correct size and remove any naturally occurring starches.

STEP #2

Assemble your pour over coffee brewing set up and pre wet your Aji Filter with hot water, this helps to create a better seal between the filter and the coffee dripper. Using hot water is best for this as it can heat up your brewer to get everything to a hotter temperature.

More water = better results.

STEP #3

Pour 20g of your coffee grounds (slightly finer than traditional pour over) into your coffee dripper and start brewing. For best results we love to brew a 5 stage recipe, so for a 20g dose you use 5x 60g pours.

Aji filters flow fast, so try grinding a little finer than usual.

STEP #4

Aji Filters are very easy to clean, when wet the cotton material turns into a silk-like texture. Simply invert the filter and collect the coffee grounds, then run the filter under a tap and watch all the left over oils and grounds slide off.
Wring out your filter and then
store your Aji Filter in water.
